The Advanced Projects Group of Central Minnesota Tool has developed the premier flexible, automated assembly cell, or FLEX for short. FLEX is perfect for shorter product lives or quick product changeovers. It can significantly reduce your capital expenses as well as your initial time-to-market for new products. Multiple projects can be run in a single machine.

The FLEX cell is built around a 36” rotary servo indexing table with 10 part holder stations. It includes a high speed Adept Cobra 600 SCARA robot (the fastest SCARA on the market) and Plug-n-Play station recognition. The entire system is Ethernet TCP/IP network ready with remote programming capabilities. The master electronics are mounted overhead for convenient access both above and below each station. FLEX is ready and operational today at Central Minnesota Tool helping to meet your assembly deadlines. Additional cells can be customized and transported to your location for your own in-house assembly needs.

Automation goes beyond just assembly applications at Central Minnesota Tool.  We have integrated the use of automated applications throughout our injection molding department. We can offer fully automated insertion molding and robotic mold cavity load and unload operations.
